What is the perfect storage unit size for me?
Our customers frequently ask us about choosing the right storage unit size. It’s natural to worry about finding the perfect unit, so we’ve created a helpful storage calculator that can give you some guidelines. You can browse the types of units we offer – from 5’ x 5’ units to 10’ x 30’ units – and read up on some of the common items stored in those sizes. For an even more detailed tool, check out our advanced size estimator. Add or delete items until you’re close to your stored inventory, then check the Storage Post automatic recommendation.
While our tools can be convenient references points, sometimes there’s just nothing better than chatting with a storage expert. Call 888-370-0088 to speak directly with one of our experienced Storage Specialists. They know their stuff and they can give you instant advice on finding the storage unit you need.

What is “climate-controlled storage”?
The storage industry has become more and more technologically savvy as the year pass, which means we’ve come up with some great storage solutions for delicate items, including climate controlled storage units. When a unit is equipped with climate controls, it means that the stored items are protected from drastic weather changes through monitored humidity and adjustable temperatures. These types of units are perfect for storing sensitive antiques, furniture susceptible to hot or cold like wooden or leather pieces, and many other items, like electronics, that need a little more pampering.
Almost every Storage Post location is equipped with climate controlled storage units. To find the one nearest you, enter your zip code, city or state into the storage finder and scroll through the results page. If a facility offers climate control options, the feature will be listed next to the unit types available.
