Digital Security System

Safety is our number one concern for both our clients and their possessions, so every customer is assigned an individual digital access code. It's how you access the facility, the elevator and your storage unit.

Elevators

Is there anything worse than schlepping boxes up and down stairs? Save your back, use our elevator. Just make sure you have your personal security code with you, or you won't be able to operate it.

Covered Indoor Loading Areas

There's not much we can do to control the weather, but we can keep you out of it while you move your possessions. We have covered indoor loading areas to keep the weather out while you move in or out.

Elevated Loading Platforms

We have elevated loading platforms that let you back the truck up, open the back and walk right onto the loading platform from the truck. No one will be stuck with the heavy end of the couch lifting it onto the platform.

Parking on Long Island can be a challenge, and your neighbors or landlords may frown on parking your RV on your lawn for the winter. No problem, as we offer boat storage and RV storage for the winter inside our fenced and gated facility.

What's it Like in Glen Cove, New York?

Glen Cove is on the North Shore of Long Island in Nassau County. It was founded in 1688, and quickly became an industrial hub with a sawmill, grist mill and by the 1680s, a number of craftspeople, including carpenters, weavers, wool spinners, saddlers, tailors, millers and shipbuilders had set up homes and established a courthouse, government, justice of the peace and constables.

When the Revolutionary War first began, most area townsfolk tried to remain neutral, with only 12% supporting the Patriots and 18% supporting England. After the massive defeat of Washington at the battle of Long Island in 1776, the Patriots gained a number of followers, even though much of Long Island remained under British control until the end of the War. Once the dust settled, residents went back to manufacturing and this time added clay mining to the mix, which turned out to be fine for pottery.

A steamship was added to New York City in 1829, and turned Glen Cove into a resort town. At the turn of the 20th century, a bunch of very rich people including J.P. Morgan, Charles Pratt, and Henry Phipps Jr. built massive estates along the shoreline. A ferry still runs between NYC and Glen Cove.

That was then, but what about now? Glen Cove gets a solid B rating on niche.com, with high marks for diversity, nightlife, health and fitness and outdoor activities, but only a B for public schools and cost of living. The median home value is $508,300, with 53% of residents renting and 47% owning their homes.

Glen Cove likes their peace and quiet, and has pretty strict noise by-laws . Between 10 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., if the by-law officer can hear an animal or bird from 50 feet away then you're going to have a problem, and if it goes on for longer than five minutes any time, it doesn't matter what time of day it is. So you'd better hope that the new puppy doesn't have separation anxiety and barks! Unreasonable noise also includes: "Yelling, shouting, hooting, whistling or singing on any public streets, sidewalks, business premises open to the public, office or any public property, when intentionally done to create or recklessly creating a risk of public annoyance, alarm or inconvenience." So, if your team wins a championship, you'd better celebrate quietly, especially if your neighbors are supporting the other team.
